The Joliet fire department responded to a fire at Union Signs and Printing this afternoon around 3 p.m.
The print shop, located on Eastern Avenue and Washington Street, had visible flames and thick smoke coming from the building.
Nicor Gas trucks were on the scene as well as first responders.
Details of the fire’s cause and if there are any injuries are unclear.
Eastern Avenue remains closed at this time.
